From Sin City to Sports City

The evolution of Las Vegas into a sports city is undeniable!

Studies have shown there is a direct correlation between a sports venue and the cost of real estate in its vicinity. If you are a property owner looking to invest in new areas, your money certainly won’t go to waste if you decide to invest in both residential and commercial real estate surrounding sports venues.

With more sports teams expected to move or expand into Las Vegas in the coming years, we are sure to see even more of the positive influences sports brings to a community.

Vegas Golden Knights Led the Way

In the six years since the Golden Knights have been playing in Las Vegas, there have been a number of professional sports teams that are now calling Las Vegas their home.

Homebase to the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, and the USL’s Las Vegas Lights FC, our Valley attracts sports fans from all over who travel to Las Vegas to root for their favorite teams.

Last March F1 announced that it would be returning to Las Vegas in November 2023, hosting a street race around the center of the city with part of the track incorporating the iconic Strip.

Vegas has also emerged as the most likely landing spot for the 30th MLS franchise, and could get an NBA team if the league expands. The A’s relocation from Oakland is also seeming more and more a possibility.

Overall, professional sports teams provide significant benefits to a community, both in terms of economic development and social impact. Whether you are a fan of sporting events or not, it is helpful to know the positive impact sports teams have on a community – and in particular on the surrounding real estate.
