More housing is being planned next to the Whole Foods Market retail center currently under construction in Downtown Summerlin.

Howard Hughes Holdings has put forward a proposal for a mixed-use project featuring two buildings that would house 339 apartments and 15,000 square feet of retail space. The project is planned for a site near the Whole Foods-anchored 7.4-acre retail center at the junction of Town Center Drive and Sahara Avenue, as per documents submitted to Clark County.

The timeline for the development has not been set, and it is unclear how many tenants will occupy the retail space. Planned amenities for the residential portion include a pool, spa, fitness center, barbecue area, bike storage, EV charging stations, and courtyards.

Housing Market Impact

Developments like this can positively impact home values in luxury communities like Summerlin. By adding more housing and retail space, the area becomes more convenient and attractive, offering residents additional amenities. High-quality mixed-use projects often enhance the overall appeal and desirability of the community, which can drive up demand for existing homes and potentially boost property values.
